Classical Ibiza Concert Poster
My university asked me to design a poster based on an event that was to happen in the near future. I chose a concert by the band Classical Ibiza that was scheduled for June 21st in Leeds.
Thumbnailing
I made some thumbnails to work out the poster's composition.
Grids
Using a concert photo I got from Classical Ibiza's website, I created some grids to help me lay everything out.
Version 1
This was version 1 of the poster. I used the wrong logo for the top left corner, and the top half of the poster's text wasn't properly arranged (in my opinion).
Experimentation
I cut out everything I deemed "pointless" and rearranged some text as an experiment. The poster was neater than before but lost a lot of its charm. The final version is a mix between version 1 and this simpler version.
